The Newcastle Northstars have won the 2026 Goodall Cup after defeating Canberra Brave 2–1 in the final at O’Brien Icehouse. Newcastle had qualified for the match after defeating the Sydney Ice Dogs in yesterday’s semifinal round, and Canberra had advanced after winning their semifinal against the Melbourne Mustangs. The win gives Newcastle their seventh Goodall Cup title and first since 2016.
