2019 Women’s World Championships: Australia loses to North Korea

The Australian women’s national team have lost 2–4 to North Korea in their second game of the 2019 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship Division II Group A tournament. In other games of the day Spain beat Mexico 2-0 and Slovenia defeated Great Britain 4–2. At the end of the second round Australia have dropped to last on the standings while Spain moves into first. Australia takes on Slovenia today for their third game of the tournament. The last time these two teams met was at the 2018 World Championships Division II Group A tournament where Australia won 4–2.
