Round 8 of the 2019 Australian Ice Hockey League season has finished with wins for the Perth Thunder, CBR Brave, Newcastle Northstars and Melbourne Ice. The Brave move to the top of the standings following their two wins, edging out the now second placed Northstars. Next week is a bye week for the teams as the league hosts the AIHL All-Star Weekend in Sydney. Competition resumes on 22 June with all eight teams in action.

The 8 June match between the Sydney Ice Dogs and Melbourne Mustangs has been cancelled due to the Mustangs flight being grounded at Melbourne Airport. The match is expected to be rescheduled at a later date.
