Australians overseas 2021-22: Canada (part 1)

With the 2021-22 season having finished in the Northern Hemisphere we though we would take a brief look at the Australian players who were competing overseas. Today is Part 1 of 3 featuring Australians in Canada.

Justin Barker: Second season in the Alberta Junior Hockey League. Playing for the Calgary Canucks, after moving across from the Camrose Kodiaks Barker recorded 56 points from 66 games.

Calvin Bright: First season with the Valley West Giants. Playing on their under-17 AAA team in the BC Elite Hockey League U17 AAA division Bright recorded eight points from 37 games.

Logan Brodie: First season with the Canadian International Hockey Academy. Playing on their Voyageurs under-15 AAA team in the Hockey Eastern Ontario U15 AAA division Brodie scored five points from 29 games.

Jérémy Brown: Fourth season with Farnham Cuisine Action. Playing in the Ligue de Hockey Sénior du Richelieu Brown competed in nine games, scoring eight points.

Fred Coutts: Sixth season with the Two Hills Longhorns. Playing in the SaskAlta Senior Hockey League Coutts recorded seven points from 15 games.

Emily Davis-Tope: Third season with Ontario Tech University. Playing in the U Sports women’s hockey program Davis-Tope competed in thirteen games, recording four penalty minutes.

Zachery Gumm: Second season with Windsor Aces. Playing in the Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League Gumm scored nine points from his eight games.

Kai Hughes: Second season playing in the Pacific Junior Hockey League. Starting the season with the White Rock Whalers Hughes played in ten games and posted 16 penalty minutes. He then moved across to the Port Moody Panthers where he scored eight points from 24 games.
