Round 1 of the 2023 East Coast Super League regular season has finished with wins for the Newcastle Northstars, Reach Rebels and Sydney Bombers while the opening game between the Northstars and Rebels was declared a forfeit in the favour of the Rebels. With their two wins the Rebels sit at the top of the standings, two points clear of the second placed Bombers. Competition resumes next weekend with all five teams in action across three games at the Macquarie Ice Rink.
