The CBR Brave have announced the signing of American forward Austin Albrecht for the 2023 Australian Ice Hockey League season. Albrecht spent 2022–23 playing in the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) and the ECHL. In the SPHL he started the season off with Fayetteville Marksmen, playing 17 games, before moving across to the Vermilion County Bobcats where he competed in 14 games. Albrecht also spent time on loan in the ECHL, playing four games for the Indy Fuel and 26 games for the Maine Mariners. Between 2017 and 2023 Albrecht has competed in the ECHL, the Elite Ice Hockey League, the NCAA’s Division I, the Oberliga and the SPHL.
