The Melbourne Ice have announced the signing of Australian-American forward Chris Schutz for the remainder of the 2023 Australian Ice Hockey League season. Schutz spent 2022–23 playing in the Oberliga for Lippe-Hockey-Hamm where he recorded 97 points from 58 games. Between 2017 and 2023 Schutz has competed in the ECHL, the NCAA’s Division I and the Oberliga.
