2024 IIHF World Championship program set

The five tournaments that Australia will be competing in at the 2024 IIHF World Championships have been announced following the International Ice Hockey Federation’s (IIHF) 2023 Annual Congress. Australia’s World Championship season will begin on 8 January with the tournament for the women’s under-18 team in Spain and concludes on 27 April with the men’s senior team tournament in Serbia.

2024 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Women’s World Championship Division I Group B

  • Date: 8 January to 14 January 2024
  • Location: TBA, Spain
  • Opponents: Chinese Taipei, Norway, Poland, South Korea, Spain

2024 IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Championship Division II Group B

  • Date: 14 January to 20 January 2024
  • Location: Novi Sad, Serbia
  • Opponents: Belgium, Chinese Taipei, Iceland, Romania, Serbia

2024 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship Division II Group B

  • Date: 17 March to 23 March 2024
  • Location: Puigcerda, Spain
  • Opponents: Bulgaria, China, Chinese Taipei, Israel, Spain

2024 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship Division II Group B

  • Date: 1 April to 7 April 2024
  • Location: Istanbul, Turkey
  • Opponents: Hong Kong, New Zealand, North Korea, South Africa, Turkey

2024 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Division II Group A

  • Date: 21 April to 27 April 2024
  • Location: Belgrade, Serbia
  • Opponents: Croatia, Iceland, Israel, Serbia, United Arab Emirates

Updates

  • The 2024 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship Division II Group B tournament is moved from 6 April to 12 April 2024 to 17 March to 23 March 2024 and will be held in Puigcerda, Spain.
  • Georgia is replaced by Iceland in the 2024 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Division II Group A tournament due to their disqualification in the 2023 World Championships.
