Day 31 of the 2023 Australian Ice Hockey League regular season has finished with the Sydney Bears defeating the Sydney Ice Dogs 7–1 at the Macquarie Ice Rink. The Melbourne Mustangs and CBR Brave remain at the top of the Hellyer Conference and Rurak Conference standings respectively. The CBR Brave also continue to lead the league’s combined standings, eight points ahead of the second placed Melbourne Mustangs. Competition resumes tomorrow with games in Adelaide, Canberra and Sydney.

Today’s match also served as the third game of the 2023 Wilson Cup series. The Cup is awarded to the winner of the regular season series of games between the two teams. With their win the Sydney Bears now hold an unbeatable three games to nil lead after winning the first 6–3 in April and the second 6–2 in May. The title win is the third in a row for the Bears and seventh overall since the trophy was first introduced in 2007.
