Adelaide Rush add two new signings and a re-signing

The Adelaide Rush have added forwards Sierra Meroniuk and Reaghan Pietrowski and goaltender Joanne Phillis to their roster for the 2023–24 Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League season.

Meroniuk spent 2022–23 playing for the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) where competed in nine games, recording four goals and three assists. Between 2019 and 2023 Meroniuk has competed in one season of the NCAA’s Division III with Northland College and two in the ACAC with Northern Alberta.

Pietrowski spent 2022–23 playing for Adrian College in the NCAA’s Division III where she scored eight goals and 17 assists in 26 games. Between 2019 and 2023 Pietrowski has competed in one season of the NCAA’s Division I with the Rochester Institute of Technology and four in Division III with Adrian College.

Phillis returns to the Rush for 2023–24 after initially being left off in their roster announcement last week. During the 2022–23 season Phillis competed in three games, recording a 0.779 save percentage and a 5.36 goals against average. In addition to playing this season Phillis will also serve as the team’s manager.
