The Newcastle Northstars have added Canadian defenceman Alexander Yuill to their roster for the 2024 Australian Ice Hockey League season. Yuill spent 2023–24 playing for the Guildford Flames in the Elite Ice Hockey League where he recorded five assists and six penalty minutes from 31 games. He also competed in a further nine games for Guildford in the Challenge Cup, recording three assists. Between 2011 and 2024 Yuill has spent time playing in the Elite Ice Hockey League, Ontario Hockey League, and the U Sports system.
