Melbourne Mustangs forward Lachlan Sucher has been named the Rookie of the Year for the 2026 Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) season. Sucher played thirty games for Melbourne during the regular season, recording ten goals and twenty assists. His thirty-point total saw him finish forty-sixth on the league’s scoring leaders list.
