2014 Women’s World Championships: Poland defeats Australia

The Australian women’s team have lost their fourth game of the 2014 IIHF Women’s World Championship Division II Group A tournament, losing to Poland 5–7. Alivia Del Basso was named best Australian player of the game. Australia remain in fifth place after four games and are now trailing tournament leaders Italy by nine points. The team has their second break day before coming up against South Korea in their final game of the tournament. In other games of the day Great Britain defeated South Korea 3–1 and Italy shutout New Zealand 5–0.
