2018 Women’s World Championships: Australia lose to North Korea

The Australian women’s national team have lost to North Korea in their fourth game of the 2018 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship Division II Group A tournament. Goaltender Ashleigh Brown was named best Australian player of the match. In other games of the day the Netherlands defeated Mexico 7-0 and Great Britain beat Slovenia 4-1. Australia remains in fifth place in the standings, nine points behind the leaders of the Netherlands. The teams have a rest day today before returning on Friday where Australia take on Slovenia in their final game of the tournament. The last time these two teams met was at the 2017 World Championship Division II Group A tournament where Australia lost 0-3.
