2019 Women’s Championships: Australia lose to Spain

The Australian women’s national team have lost 2-3 to Spain in their final game of the 2019 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship Division II Group A tournament. In other games of the day Slovenia beat Mexico 7-1 and Great Britain defeated North Korea 2-1. Australia finishes the tournament in last place and are relegated to Division II Group B for 2020. Slovenia finishes the tournament in first place and gains promotion to Division I Group B.
