The CBR Brave have announced the signing of American defender Carson Vance for the 2023 Australian Ice Hockey League season. Vance spent 2022–23 playing in the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) and the ECHL. In the SPHL he started the season off with the Huntsville Havoc, playing four games, before moving across to the Fayetteville Marksmen where he competed in 38 games. Vance also spent time on loan in the ECHL, playing six games for both the Fort Wayne Komets and South Carolina Stingrays and two games for the Orlando Solar Bears. Between 2017 and 2023 Vance has competed in the ECHL, the Federal Prospects Hockey League, the NCAA’s Division I and Division III, and the SPHL.
