The Australian Ice Hockey League have announced most of the details for the upcoming 2023 Goodall Cup playoffs which will run over two weekends from 19 August to 27 August. The new format includes five games over three rounds including a play-in round, semifinals and the final.

The play-in round will see the second ranked teams from each conference take on a third ranked team. Originally announced as the second ranked teams playing the third ranked teams from the opposing conference this has now been altered to a “to be announced” status which likely indicates the league are waiting to determine the best venue for each qualified team. The first play-in match will be held at the Hunter Ice Skating Stadium on 19 August and the second at the O’Brien Icehouse on 20 August.

The winners of each play-in match will then advance to the semifinal round which will be held at the O’Brien Icehouse on 26 August where they will take on the top ranked team from either the Hellyer Conference or Rurak Conference. Finally, the winners of each semifinal advance to the Goodall Cup final which is scheduled for 27 August at the O’Brien Icehouse.

Update: Teams added into the schedule as the confirmed based on their positions in the regular season.
