Ice Hockey Australia (IHA) have released the roster for the Australian men’s under-20 national team which will compete in the upcoming 2024 IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Championship Division II Group B tournament. The competition will take place from14 January to 20 January 2024 in Belgrade, Serbia with Australia competing against Belgium, Chinese Taipei, Iceland, Romania, and Serbia.
Seventeen changes have been made to the roster that won their tournament in 2023. Maksim Astafiyev, Braden Costa, Onrii Dalgity, Ryan Duchemin, Julian Friederich, Finlay Gordon, Cameron Hughes, Ivan Kuleshov, Brayden Maybee, Matthew Montgomery, Matt Nikitin, Daniel O’Handley, Tyrone Oxlade, Mikko Rippon, Hayden Sayers, Connor Wardlaw, and Henry York will all make their debut their debut in 2024.
The fifteen players not returning for 2024 include Mackenzie Bolger, Daniel Chen, Lachlan Cincotta, Lachlan Clifford, Dillon Dewar, Nicholas Doornbos, Luke Doyle, Marcus Hosen, Jacob Laver, Maxim Lyashenko, Noah Maley, Noah Moncrieff, Morris O’Handley, Drew Robson, and Mathieu Vaillancourt.
