The Melbourne Ice have announced the signing of American defenceman Jeff Solow for the upcoming 2024 Australian Ice Hockey League season. Solow spent the 2023–24 season playing for the Birmingham Bulls in the Southern Professional Hockey League and on loan to the Jacksonville Icemen and Maine Mariners in the ECHL. With Birmingham he competed in eleven games, scoring a goal and two assists. In the ECHL Solow played seven games with Jacksonville, recording an assist, and 14 games with Maine, scoring a goal. Between 2016 and 2024 Solow has spent time playing in the ECHL, Elite Ice Hockey League, New Zealand Ice Hockey League, the NCAA’s Division I and Division III, and the Southern Professional Hockey League.
