Australian women’s roster for 2023 World Championships

Ice Hockey Australia have released the roster for the Australian women’s national team for the upcoming 2023 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship Division II Group B tournament. The competition will take place from 20 February to 26 February 2023 in Cape Town, South Africa with Australia competing against Belgium, Croatia, New Zealand, South Africa and Turkey.

New players to the team include Christine Dutton, Sasha King, Marina Nottle, Imogen Perry and Katrina Rapchuk. Anna Badaoui and Sharna Godfrey return having last competed at the World Championships in 2020 and Chloe Walker returns after last representing Australia in 2019.

Players dropped after competing in last year’s World Championships include Emily Davis-Tope, Rylie Ellis, Shona Green, Olivia Last, Courtney Mahoney, Matilda Pethrick and Nikki Sharp. Georgia Carson, Tina Girdler and Kristelle Vanderwolf, who also competed in 2022, are currently on the reserves list.
