The Sydney Bears have released the roster for the 2024 Australian Ice Hockey League season. Comparing to the Bears’ 2023 roster it includes 20 returning players and 17 new signings, while 10 players are released.
The new players include Joseph Braun, Richard Crowe (from Solihull Barons), Greg Davis (from Perth Thunder), Chris Eaden (from Canterbury Red Devils), Jeremy Granger, Lucas Herrmann (from Pensacola Ice Flyers), Eugene Ju, Adam Kadlec, Brody Lindal (from Melbourne Ice), Nathan Moncrieff, Tyrone Oxlade, Samuel Poole, Max Portnov, Jake Riley (from CBR Brave), Colby Shumak, Mac Tutton (from Central Coast Rhinos), and Samuli Vainionpää (from KOOVEE).
The players dropped are Ellesse Carini (to Melbourne Ice), Ace Cowans, Hayden Dawes (to Central Coast Rhinos), Alexandre Gauthier, Justin Harrison (to Central Coast Rhinos), Joshua Lammon (retired), Marc McNulty (to Maple Creek Hawks), Jake Pappalardo, Thomas Steven (to Canberra Brave), and Lukas Vaic.
