The five tournaments that Australia will be competing in at the 2027 IIHF World Championships have been announced following the International Ice Hockey Federation’s (IIHF) 2026 Annual Congress. Australia’s World Championship season will begin on 17 January with the tournament for the men’s under-20 team in Belgrade, Serbia and concludes on 13 November with the women’s senior team tournament in Taipei City, Taiwan. The tournament dates are subject to change and will be updated if required.

2027 IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Championship Division II Group B

  • Dates: 17 January to 23 January 2027
  • Location: Belgrade, Serbia
  • Group A: New Zealand, Serbia, Spain
  • Group B: Australia, Chinese Taipei, Israel

2027 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Women’s World Championship Division II Group A

  • Dates: 25 January to 31 January 2027
  • Location: Istanbul, Türkiye
  • Group A: Australia, Netherlands, Türkiye
  • Group B: Kazakhstan, Latvia, Romania

2027 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship Division II Group B

  • Dates: 30 March to 5 April 2027
  • Location: Belgrade, Serbia
  • Group A: Australia, Netherlands*, Serbia
  • Group B: Belgium, Mexico, Spain

2027 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Division II Group A

  • Dates: 19 April to 25 April 2027
  • Location: Al Ain, United Arab Emirates
  • Group A: Australia, Belgium, Croatia
  • Group B: Georgia, Serbia, United Arab Emirates

2027 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship Division II Group A

  • Dates: 7 November to 13 November 2027

Notes

  • *The Netherlands had earned promotion to the 2027 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship Division II Group A tournament; however, the IIHF has voted to readmit Belarus into the competition, which resulted in the cancellation of all promotions from the 2026 IIHF U18 World Championships.
