The Melbourne Ice have released their roster for the 2023 Australian Ice Hockey League season. Comparing to the Ice’s 2022 roster it includes 13 returning players and 20 new signings while 20 players are released.

The new players include Jamie Bourke (from Melbourne Ducks), Declan Bronte (from CBR Brave), Jack Carpenter (from Melbourne Ducks), Justin Dixon (from Melbourne Ducks), Darcy Flanagan, Thomas Forrest (from Melbourne Ducks), Logan Gallacher (from Melbourne Ducks), Yuga Kikuchi, Patrick Klöpper (from Hannover Scorpions), Artem Klein (from HEC Eisbären Heilbronn), Roman Kraemer (from Robert Morris University), Austin Lefkowicz, Brody Lindal (from Melbourne Ducks), Jake Riley (from Adelaide Avalanche), Chris Schutz (from Lippe-Hockey-Hamm), Corey Stringer (from Melbourne Ducks), Zoltan-Laszlo Toke (from CSM Corona Brasov), Byron Tschuma (from Melbourne Ducks), Hector Vrielynck (from Melbourne Ducks) and Lliam Webster (from Melbourne Ducks).

While the dropped players are Samuel Bartlett, Sebastian Bergstrom, Zachary Boyle (to Adelaide Adrenaline), Robert Clark, Greg Davis (to Perth Thunder), Charlie Davis-Tope, Andrew Erzen, Ryan Foll (to Adelaide Adrenaline), Jeff Hu, Bobby Huang, Chris Leetham, Daniel Machin, Bryan Mackenzie (to Melbourne Mustangs), Nicholas Munro, Matt Nikitin (to Melbourne Mustangs), Tim Nikitin, Cooper Porter, Josef Rezek, Samuel Sweatman and Joshua Van Douwen.
